1. Who is responsible for your data

Owayi, a project of Ember Eagle Ltd (71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9JQ London, United Kingdom), is responsible for processing your personal data. Questions about privacy: info@embereagle.com.

2. What data we collect

What you provide yourself

Account data: name, email address, password (stored encrypted)
Profile data: job title, company/organization, photo, bio, location, work experience, education, CV
Content: posts, photos, links, messages, connections

What is collected automatically

Technical data (IP address, browser type) for security and language selection
Basic usage data to make the service work. Owayi does not build advertising profiles and does not show ads.

Verification for closed communities and investor access

To access certain closed sections (for example verification through a recognized external organization, or an identity check for investors), we process data that may fall under a special category of personal data. For this, we always ask for your explicit, separate consent, apart from your regular account registration. This data:

is never linked to any public profile
is stored separately, with restricted access
for investor verification: a live recording and identity document are used to confirm your identity; we only keep what is strictly necessary for that purpose

4. Who we share data with

We never sell data to third parties.
We do not work with advertising networks.
Technical service providers (hosting, email) only to the extent needed to make Owayi work.
Recognized external organizations, only for the verification they carry out, with the minimum data needed for that.

5. How long we keep data

For as long as your account exists. After you delete your account, we delete your data within a reasonable period, except for what must legally be kept longer. Verification data for closed sections is stored separately and for a shorter period.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, transfer and object with regard to your data, and the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. To do so, contact us via info@embereagle.com.

7. Security

Passwords are stored encrypted. Access to data is limited to those who need it, with extra restrictions for sensitive verification data.

8. International transfers

Our servers are located within the European Union/EEA. Your data is not processed outside the EU/EEA, so no additional transfer safeguard (such as standard contractual clauses) is required for the hosting itself.

9. Cookies

We use functional cookies (logging in, language selection). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Minors

Owayi is not intended for users under 16.

11. Changes

For a significant change to this policy, we will actively notify you.
